The UFC has held 1,981 fights to date*. That will make the seventh fight at UFC 147, currently scheduled to be Yuri Alcantara vs. Hacran Dias, the 2,000th fight in the promotion's history. Between July 1, 2008 and July 1, 2012, the UFC will have run 1,055 fights, meaning that it will have contested more fights in the last four years than in the preceding 15 years combined.
*FightMetric, like most others, does not count Royce Gracie vs. Harold Howard from UFC 3 to be an official match, despite it being listed on Gracie's record for many years.
