If the upcoming fight between Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos doesn't needed any extra hype, consider this: Velasquez and dos Santos now sit at #1 and #2, respectively, among the all-time UFC leaders in significant strikes landed per minute. Velasquez hits his opponents an average of 7.46 times per minute while dos Santos manages 6.79. They are the only two fighters with SLpM above 5.5.

The pair also sit atop the rankings in +/-, a stat that subtracts strikes absorbed per minute (SApM) from SLpM. On a per minute basis, Velasquez dishes out 6.31 more strikes than he takes and dos Santos sits at 4.8. They are the only two fighters above 3.1.

The biggest drop in the rankings at UFC 131 belonged to Shane Carwin, who went from #1 in SLpM to #11. Carwin only landed 20 significant strikes in 15 minutes against dos Santos, dropping his SLpM from 7.65 to 4.44.

Congratulations to Joey Beltran who enters the SLpM leaders at #6 after qualifying for the list with his fifth UFC fight.
