Milestone Alert! @ufc to Hold 1,500th Fight at UFC 123

The UFC will celebrate a milestone at UFC 123 this Saturday night as it holds the 1,500th fight in its history. The sixth fight on the card will be the big number 1,500, currently scheduled to be Matt Brown vs. Brian Foster.

It took the UFC nearly 12 years to get the first 500 fights under its belt, three years for the next 500, and just a shade over two years for the third 500 fights. At their current rate, we should be seeing fight number 2,000 around August 2012.
